• Extensive Admin. Centre Renovations being at Emmaus College

    The Administration Building at Emmaus College in Jimboomba has begun.  The planned renovtaions are to reorganise the internal spaces and some extensions to the existing building which was built over multiple stages in the masterplan works. This was done following extenstive consultations with the leadership team and BCE.

    The renovations to the Admin. Centre include areas of the: Leadership Team, Finance department, General Staff Admin., Student & Public foyer areas and extensions to the Staff Lunch Room.  As well, the Centre is being fully air conditioned as part of this renovation.

    These works are being built by InSite Constructions and are due for comletion mid-Feb. 2017.
  • Works begin on site at St Peter & Pauls, Bulimba

    A new 3-storey project is underway on site at St Peter & Paul's Primary School in Bulimba.

    The new replacement Block 2 will provide a three-level infill building including: 6 classrooms, 2 Prep. rooms, new staff rooms/ facilities and a roof top open play space.

    Construction works are being undertaken by James Trowse Constructions.

    The project is due for completion around Easter 2017.

  • New Centre of Innovation for Teaching Excellence & Leadership (CiTEL) completed

    The new Centre of Innovation for Teaching Excellence & Leadership (CiTEL) has recently been completed on site at Lourdes Hill College, Hawthorne.

    The Centre aims to become a new state model for teaching excellence and leadership for those within College as well as being accessble to the wider educational community. It is a project undertaken during the College's Centenary year celebrations.

    The building works were carried out by James Trowse Constructions and completed in time for start of school 2017.

  • New Sports & Cultural Centre opens at St Patrick's College

    The new Cultural & Sport's Centre at St Patrick's College, Shorncliffe was opened mid year (2016).  It has provided modern music and art facilities including recording studios and digital media.

    Over the ground floor specialty rooms include a full size sporting auditorium with comprehensive support facilities and a performance stage.  A feature of the Auditorium is a seating capacity over 1500 of which half is through an auto-retractable system for maximum flexibilty.

    The new complex also completes the Pier Avenue streetscape and links directly into the Callen Centre.
  • McAuley College's presence noticed in Beaudesert

    The presence of the new McAuley College has started to be felt by the local community in Beaudesert as noted in the local newpaper article here.

    The civil works on site have now been completed by Alder Constructions and building works are taking shape on site as constructed by Glenlea Constructions.

    The four buildings that form stage 1 are: The Administration Centre, Years 7 & 8 Centre, Design Studios Centre (Art, Science, Food Tech & Design) and The Sports Court.  As well, a turfed sports oval is included. Connections between the Design Studios and classroom spaces are enhanced with landcaped works of fruit and herb gardens and a dry creek gully to provide and encourage outdoor learning spaces for the College. Further works are masterplanned for upcoming stages too.

    McAuley College will be ready to open their doors for start of school in January 2017.
  • Fresh transformation for OSHC at Jubilee

    The new spaces for the Outside Hours Care at Jubilee Primary in Gaven have opened mid year and been received well by the local community.

    Previously located in a demountable on the school site, the new facilities located in a converted space under one of Jubilee's buildings has been a welcome change.

    The new facilities include: Student Kitchenette, open plan learning spaces, break out computers spaces for quieter study, art room and staff spaces.

    We have said goodbye to our office in Mudgeeraba that has been operating as the base for Bertoldi Architects & Bertoldi Therapy Centre over the last 24 years.

  • Civil works start shaping the site for new College in Beaudesert

    Work has started on site for the new secondary College in Beaudesert known as McAuley College.

    The first stage of civil site works is being undertaken by local civil contracting company Alder Constructions.  The consulting civil engineers are Cozens Regan Group.

    These works involve creating the new building platforms, driveway; carpark & drop off zones, bioretention basin and trunk services for the building works to being on site in April this year.

  • Building works out to Tender for McAuley College

    The building documents for the new secondary 'McAuley' College have gone out to tender to a selected list of Building Contractors who expressed interest.

    These works are on time to begin construction on site in April and have the new College operational for the start of school 2017.

    The seperately tendered civil contract works have already begun on site and are being carried out by Alders Constructions.
  • New Carparking Facilities for combined Gold Coast Campuses

    The new carpark and drop-off facilities for combined Marymount Primary & College campuses is now complete. 

    It has been completed on time for start of school this year by Main Constructions.

    The new facilities have been timed to co-incide with the start of construction of the Burleigh Head's Church which closed the Sunlight Drive carpark for 2016.

  • Rooftop play space for St's Peter & Paul's new building in DA

    The new 'Block 2' building which caters for the 4th stream upgrade at St's Peter & Paul's, Bulimba is now lodged for DA.

    Responding to limitations to open play space and working with density, the 2-storey building features a partly covered rooftop play space for the children. This has also created access of the sweeping views of the nearby CBD to the College.

    Once the DA process is completed, the building is due to commence construction on site in August 2016.
  • Stage One starts to develop at McAuley College

    Stage One Development is currently underway for the new secondary 'McAuley' College at Beaudesert.  The overall Masterplan for the College will be delivered over five stages in the coming years.

    This first building stage will involve the development of a new Administration Centre (to be delivered over 3 stages); Yr's 7 & 8 Classroom Building (to be delivered over 2 stages); Design Specialist Studio ('STEAM') and Covered Sports & Canteen Area.

  • Bernadette Case Study

    A case-study on the Bernadette Centre at Lourdes Hill College was recently undertaken.

    SpanTec Systems were the manufacturers of the larged curved roof system covering 26.5 meters at the top of the 5-storey building in Hawthorne, Brisbane.

  • New Secondary Catholic College Masterplanned for Beaudesert

    The long awaited development of a new Catholic Secondary School in Beaudesert is currently underway. The name has been announced as 'McAuley College.'

    The masterplan for the 7 hectare secondary campus has been designed to be delivered over a number of stages.  Scenic Rim Regional Council has approved the development application for the overall College.

    The College is expecting to be operational in 2017 which will mean the construction of Stage 1 will begin in early 2016 (depending on funding approvals- now received) .  The Beaudesert community expects that this new school development will bring economic growth to the region as reported in the Beaudesert Times here.

    New Buildings at Lourdes Hill & Marymount College have recently been featured for their use of healthy paints.

    The no VOC paints sourced from Rockcote have been specified for years on all Bertoldi Architects School projects.
